Calling all volunteers! Please visit this link and sign up for one of the many things that need to be done to make our trip successful!
Camp Albemarle All-Star Volunteers

Word Study Update
This week, each group will be building words with the prefix
Purple Book: DIS + S
Yellow Book: S (verb).

Reading Update
We will continue our work on inferencing and also will be introducing fact and opinion. While this seems like an easy skill, many of the questions are tricky and ask for facts within the text.

Math Update

We have wrapped up our work with place value. We will be giving a released SOL for two reasons. First, will use the JUST THE PLACE VALUE portion of the assessment to provide us a test score for the Place Value unit. Second, we will look at the assessment as a whole, to provide us information on our student's strengths and weaknesses. This will drive instruction for the remainder of the year. You can help your child at home by practicing computation and measurement conversions.
