Geometry Terms! I know, math in word study?? Who would have thought it!!! Since there are so many Geometry terms in our next math unit, we use the month of November to practice those words. Fourth Grade's focus is to conceptually understand multiplication and division. We know that you are tempted to show your child the algorithm for solving multiplication & division problems, but we are requesting that you try and refrain. We will teach them the algorithm at the end of the year after a solid understanding of multiplication and division has occurred. We are attaching a youtube video that shows the conceptual ways of teaching multiplication.
